DESCRIPTION:Join us for a reception honoring Mike Johnson on Friday\, December 6 @ 6pm. \n\nA little about Mike: \nFor 20 years\, Mike Johnson has been drawn toward the ancient craft of functional ceramics.\nMike and his family moved to their Whitefield farmstead in 2012\, finding a place to create a\nhand built life. When away from the potter’s wheel\, you will find him volunteering with Whitefield\nFire/EMS\, teaching clay classes at Kennebec Clay Works in Augusta\, or playing guitar.  You\nare invited to a showcase of clay and heat\, form and function; a synthesis of handmade pottery\nintended for domestic use. Mike is excited to share his passion for makers and making\, and\nwelcomes you to experience the tactile warmth of stoneware. \nThe Whitefield Library is located at 1 Arlington Lane in Whitefield and can be found online at\nhttps://whitefieldlibrary.org or by following us on Facebook and Instagram.
