Join us Friday, October 3 for a welcome reception honoring local artist Marlene Barter!

Born and raised in Taos, NM, Marlene’s work is heavily influenced by the stunning landscape of the American Southwest. Moving back to Maine with her husband in the mid 2000s, Marlene found herself once again inspired by the rugged beauty and extreme climates of the midcoast. Her art has been shown in many local galleries, coffee shops, and craft stores, and she has done several commissioned works for friends and collectors. 

Marlene always turns to art to fill her heart and quiet her mind.  She takes every opportunity in life to draw inspiration for her art, from working in the garden to trips to Iceland and Canada.
