Gerry Boyle is a crime novelist based in Maine. Boyle is the author of 17 novels, including the acclaimed Jack McMorrow mystery series, featuring ex-New York Times reporter Jack McMorrow and his social worker partner Roxanne Masterson.

Boyle also is the author of a second mystery series featuring rookie Portland cop Brandon Blake. 

Boyle also lent a hand to his daughter Emily Westbrooks as she wrote a stand-alone crime novel set in Ireland, THE DEAD SAMARITAN.

Boyle last last Jack McMorrow novel, HARD LINE, published by Islandport Press in 2024, won bronze medals from the Independent Publishers Book Awards, for mystery novels, and from the Independent Publishers of New England, for genre fiction.

Boyle lives in China, where he and his wife raised their family.

When he isn’t writing, Boyle is boating, cycling, working on their 200-year-old house, and spending time time with his family.
