Join us September 5 at 6 P.M. for an art opening and welcome reception for Kathy Bouchard.

Kathy Bouchard is a painter and textile artist who creates memorable one-of-a-kind pieces using various media.  She produces unique artworks and practical goods from her home studio in Newcastle, Maine.  She has a love of mysterious things and is inspired by the inherent qualities of the patterns, colors and textures created when using fabric dyes and paints.  Kathy grew up in Auburn and attended the Portland School of Art (now the Maine College of Art & Design) and the University of Southern Maine.  Kathy has shown her work in numerous shows and is in private collections across the country.  She loves nature and animals and shares proceeds with animal welfare organizations, land conservation groups and other nonprofits. Kathy is grateful to the Whitefield Library for its community engagement and support of local artists and is happy to have the opportunity to share her creations.  A percentage from work sold will be donated to the library.
