A little about Mike:

For 20 years, Mike Johnson has been drawn toward the ancient craft of functional ceramics.
Mike and his family moved to their Whitefield farmstead in 2012, finding a place to create a
hand built life. When away from the potter’s wheel, you will find him volunteering with Whitefield
Fire/EMS, teaching clay classes at Kennebec Clay Works in Augusta, or playing guitar.  You
are invited to a showcase of clay and heat, form and function; a synthesis of handmade pottery
intended for domestic use. Mike is excited to share his passion for makers and making, and
welcomes you to experience the tactile warmth of stoneware.
