Rescheduled -Seeds! Special StoryTime – Moved to Saturday April 20th 9:00

April 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Celebrate the Week of the Young Child at the Whitefield Library!

This special storytime event is seed-centered for spring, and has a muddy hands-on activity for extra sensory joy.
Families with young children can make seed bombs, small balls of mud and clay that, when packed with native wildflower seeds, can be thrown throughout the landscape to add patches of blooms. We’ll toss some seed bombs around the library sign, and there will be containers on hand for seed bombs to be taken home, too.

Storytime will take place inside the library, but the activity will take place outside – please dress accordingly! Story and activity are planned with young children in mind, but children of all ages are welcome to participate.

This event is made possible by a grant from the Maine Association for the Education of Young Children. Maine AEYC’s annual Week of the Young Child takes place from April 8-12, and is filled with opportunities for families with young children to learn, play, grow, and celebrate childhood together!
