We’re desperately looking for a copy of Linwood Lowden’s “Ballstown West 1768 – 1809” to add to our library. OK, maybe desperately isn’t the right word, but we’d really really really like to have at least one copy in our Library to lend out to people interested in the early history of Ballstown er… Whitefield. I do indeed have one that I would be happy to donate. I just need to finish digitizing it for online use. I do believe that Linwood gave issuse to the Historical Society to sell.

Fascinating! My grandfather was from whitefield and now it’s home for me. He apparently lived on or near Joy’s pond rd. I’ll see what I can find out on ancestry.
