First Friday Art Show; Friday, April 5th, 6:00-8:00PM

Whitefield Library proudly presents the artwork of Rachael Richmond at its First Friday Art Show on April 5th from 6-8 PM. This will be the 4th featured artist in the “First Friday Art Night” series held monthly.

Rachael Richmond is a local artist from Jefferson, Maine. She lives on a farm with her husband, Dave, and son, Eric. Her daughter, Olivia, lives in Round Pond. She teaches art in Jefferson. Rachael paints out of her home office and primarily works in watercolor and gouache.  The subject of her paintings is almost always animals. Rachel started with fish and then moved on to other sea animals, and gradually added birds, farm animals, and wild animals. Her inspiration comes from experiences on her farm and a family home in Little Deer Isle. Rachel has also indulged in painting some Gulf Coast fish while visiting Fort Desoto in Florida.

Rachel’s watercolor paintings will be on display and for sale during the month of April with part of proceeds going to the library fund. Light refreshments will be served.
