Fall greetings from The Whitefield Community Library!

We have a lot happening at the library this fall! First of all, The Whitefield Community Library is pleased to announce that in addition to our regular Friday and Saturday hours, we’ll now also be open on Wednesdays from 1:30-6pm. See our Library Hours page for more information. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for helping to staff this additional day!

We also wish to invite you to our Annual Fall Festival on October 15th from 10-2. We have games and crafts for the children, raffle prizes, pumpkin painting, homemade baked goods, chili, popcorn, and featuring Bailey’s Orchard’s delicious cider. We even have live music provided by Rusty Hinges. For our gardening friends, beautiful heirloom bulbs will be for sale. There will also be a used book sale and in the spirit of Halloween there will be a table featuring Stephen King novels. The Whitefield Community Library Calendars will be available, which by the way, makes great Christmas gifts! Please note there will be no story time on this date.

On October 22nd please join us for the Halloween Craftacular from 10am to 1pm. Recommended for ages 4-10, come make some creepy crafts that include witches, monsters, ghosts, skeletons, and bats. Healthy spooky snacks will be provided. There will be no story time on this date.

On November 12th story time will include baking for the holidays! Come decorate some goodies and please don’t forget your aprons!

We also want to inform everyone that our monthly board meeting time has changed and will now be held on Thursdays at 4:30pm at the Whitefield Fire Station. Our board meeting are open to the public.
