The Whitefield Library is pleased to host A Conversation with Maine Author Deborah Gould on August 10th at 7:00 pm at the Library. She is the author of The Eastern novels: The Early Years and Later On.  She was a Maine Literary Award short fiction finalist in 2013 and, a year later, won that award. Her historical novel The Early Years was a 2016 Maine Literary Book Award finalist; her contemporary fiction, Household (2021), was endorsed by Patrisha McLean, founder of Finding Our Voices.

Deborah grew up in Portland and Brunswick, Maine. After college in New Hampshire, she moved to Boston and worked for a major publishing firm, but soon moved back to Maine.

She was a long-time volunteer for two domestic violence agencies in Maine facilitating support groups for women in abusive relationships; she served on the Board of Directors of The Family Violence Project. A member of the Cumberland Street Writers, she is a three-season resident of Brunswick and summers on Flying Pond in Mount Vernon, Maine.

Join us on August 10th at 7:00pm for what promises to be an entertaining evening. The Whitefield Library is located at 1 Arlington Lane in Whitefield.
